What happens if another pandemic or emergency hits and we can't get married on our scheduled date?
In the event anything like the COVID-19 pandemic shuts everything down again, we are fully prepared to work with our clients to find an available date to reschedule. Your retainer fee and any payments you've made to-date will be applied to your new date with no fees or penalties.
Do you offer Elopement Packages?

Is Sunset Pavilion available for events other than weddings?
Absolutely! We are honored to have hosted a variety of celebrations, and we'd love to host yours! Contact us for information about hosting your non-wedding event at Starlit Heights!
Why do I need Event Liability Insurance?
Short and simple: for your peace of mind. Unfortunately, we live in a time when anyone can and will try to sue anyone for anything. While our venue does have insurance that covers us and our property, the coverage does not extend to our clients. If any damages, injuries, or worse occur during your event, it is in everyone's best interest that you're covered.
What happens if it rains during my event?
Good news! If it rains (or is windy, or is chillier than expected), you're covered! Our Sunset Pavilion has the option of tent sides that can help shelter you and your guests. Planning a pond-side ceremony? You've got backup! Simply move the ceremony to Sunset Pavilion and carry on! Guests will be comfortable and dry sitting at their tables and taking in the scenery from the shelter of the pavilion.
Is there sales tax on my rental?
The state of Kentucky requires tax on certain goods and services and property rental falls under that category. No worries about surprise fees, though! Your rental fee plus tax will be clearly outlined in each of your invoices.
I'd love to have my dog part of the ceremony! Are you pet friendly?
You are more than welcome to have your dog participate in your ceremony! Conditions include: Pets must have a pet-sitter at all times (someone who is not part of your wedding party). Pets must be leashed or caged at all times. Damages incurred by pets will be deducted from your Cleaning & Damages Deposit. Any "business" done by pets MUST be cleaned up immediately. No pets are allowed in Bridal Suite or Groom's Room.
Is there parking on the property?
Absolutely! Just over the hill from Sunset Pavilion at the base of Burdette Knob, our parking area can accommodate a 200 guest wedding (reasonably). Arrangements can also be made for additional parking if needed.
No overnight parking.
Do you have a preferred vendor list or can I use my own vendors?
While we are always happy to recommend vendors with whom we've worked, you are welcome to use any caterer, photographer, etc. you like. All vendors must adhere to the venue's rules and regulations.
